Green Medically Treated Handgrip Woolpad:
Medically Treated Handgrips assist in preventing infection of sores on the hands, such as blisters, and also assist in preventing sores or blisters which come with using crutches regularly by creating a comfortable barrier between the rubber handle and the users hand. They also ensure that if the crutches are used with dirty hands, bacteria will not linger and grow into a colony, contaminating the crutches.
What Is Medically Treated Wool?
Australian Medically Treated Wool is dyed green, being easily recognizable and being perfect for people who may experience sores, rashes, have sensitive skin, or have weak immune systems and be prone to infection. This type of wool is treated with a chemical which prevents the growth of bacteria, ensuring that they cannot live or grow to produce colonies inside the wool. If an individual was to come into contact with badly contaminated wool, it can lead to infection or illness. When this wool is treated, its fibres are manipulated, being exposed to a mild solution consisting of chlorine and a soft resin. Heating of the wool then makes the resin form a film over the fibres of the wool which stops them from interconnecting. This process stops the wool from shrinking, and also ensures that bacteria cannot survive inside the wool.
Directions to clean:
To ensure that your Ugg Australia Wool Crutch Covers stay in great condition, it is vital that they are cared for and washed in the correct manner. To care for this wool, it must be hand washed with an approved wool detergent in warm water. They then must be rinsed extremely carefully so that all of the detergents is removed from the wool and then shook so that excess water is also removed. They should be dried in a flat, shaded area being kept away from heat or direct sunlight.
